Chewable toothpaste tablets with 10% hydroxyapatite and PAP, plus violet pigment for tone correction. Chew one, brush with a wet brush, rinse. No tube, no water needed to start, nothing to leak in a bag. 90 tablets per tin. Fluoride free, SLS free, vegan.

  • 10% hydroxyapatite
  • PAP, a peroxide free whitening agent
  • Violet pigment for optical tone correction
  • 90 tablets per tin, about 45 days
  • Fluoride free, SLS free, vegan

Fluoride free is a choice, not automatically an upgrade. Fluoride has the strongest evidence base of anything in toothpaste for preventing cavities. Hydroxyapatite is a reasonable alternative with a growing body of research behind it, but if you are prone to cavities, have had recent fillings, or are choosing for a child, talk to your dentist before dropping fluoride.

Not for young children, since tablets are a choking risk and children have different fluoride needs. A cosmetic and hygiene product, not a treatment. Bleeding gums, sensitivity, or pain need a dentist.

Purple Toothpaste Tablets with Hydroxyapatite

A tube of toothpaste is the worst thing in your wash bag.

It leaks. It is over the liquid limit if the tube is full. It splits at the seam somewhere over the Mediterranean and coats everything you own. And the last third never comes out. There is another way.

The formula

Three things in a tablet.

Hydroxyapatite at 10 percent, the mineral your enamel is largely made of, used widely in Japan as a fluoride alternative. PAP, a whitening agent that works without peroxide, so no sensitivity spike. And violet pigment, which neutralises the look of yellow tones on contact the same way purple shampoo works on brassy hair. Chew, brush, rinse.

Questions

Is fluoride free better?
Not automatically, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Fluoride has the best evidence of anything in toothpaste for preventing cavities. Hydroxyapatite is a credible alternative with real research behind it, and it is widely used in Japan. If you get cavities easily, that is a conversation to have with your dentist before switching.
What does PAP actually do?
It is a whitening agent that works without peroxide, so it does not cause the sensitivity peroxide often does. The evidence behind it is less extensive than for peroxide, so expect gradual change rather than a dramatic one.
Why is it purple?
Violet pigment neutralises the look of yellow tones on contact, the same colour theory as purple shampoo. That part is optical and temporary. The hydroxyapatite and PAP are the parts working over time.
Will it whiten my veneers or crowns?
No. Restorations do not respond to whitening or to tone correction, and correcting the teeth around them can make the mismatch more obvious.
Does less foam mean it is not working?
No. Foam comes from SLS, which is a detergent that irritates some people's mouths. It makes no difference to cleaning.
Can children use them?
No. Tablets are a choking risk for young children, and children's fluoride needs should be decided with a dentist.
How long does a tin last?
90 tablets, so about 45 days brushing twice a day.
Do you ship outside Lebanon?
Not yet. We ship within Lebanon for $3 flat, cash on delivery.
