The mechanism
The barrel does the wrapping.
Feed in a section, press, and the barrel draws it in and rotates on its own, so both sides of your head get exactly the same curl regardless of which hand is holding it. Airflow runs around the barrel as it works and an anti-scald guard sits between the hot surface and your fingers. Five heat settings so you are not forced to use more than your hair needs.
Questions
Will it tangle or pull my hair?
Not with small clean sections fed in smoothly. Tangling usually means the section was too thick or the hair was knotted before it went in. Brush through first.
Which barrel size should I choose?
1 inch gives tighter, springier curls and suits shorter hair. 1.25 inch gives looser waves and suits longer hair.
Is it safe on coloured or bleached hair?
Use the lowest settings. Any heat tool damages processed hair faster, and ceramic coating reduces that but does not remove it.
How long do the curls last?
Most of a day on most hair types, longer with hairspray. Fine straight hair always holds a curl less well, whatever tool you use.
Does less damage mean no damage?
No. Ceramic coating and controlled temperature help, but heat styling always costs the hair something. Protectant and the lowest workable setting matter more than the tool.
Can I use it on short hair?
Yes, as long as the section is long enough to feed into the barrel. Very short layers around the face are easier with a standard wand.
