Pre-soaked exfoliating toner pads with AHA and BHA. AHA works on the surface for texture and dullness, BHA is oil soluble so it gets into the pore itself. Textured on one side for a light physical sweep, smooth on the other for pressing in. Use two or three times a week after cleansing.

These are acids. Read before using. They make skin more sensitive to sun, so sunscreen every morning without exception. Patch test first. Do not use them on the same night as retinol or another exfoliant, and do not use them on broken, sunburnt, or freshly waxed skin. If skin starts to sting, tighten, or look red and shiny, stop and give it a week.

A cosmetic exfoliant. It improves how skin looks and feels. It does not shrink pores, which are largely determined by genetics, and it is not a treatment for acne.

Pores look bigger when they are full, not when they are stretched.

Most of what reads as large pores is the shadow of oil and dead skin sitting in the opening. Scrubs grind the surface and do nothing to what is inside. Strips rip out the top and it refills by Thursday. There is another way.

The formula

Two acids, because they do different jobs.

AHA is water soluble and works across the surface on texture and dullness. BHA is oil soluble, which means it can actually get down into a pore full of sebum. Together they clear what is sitting in the opening, so the pore casts less shadow and skin looks smoother. The pad is textured on one side and smooth on the other.

Questions

Will this shrink my pores?
No. Pore size is largely genetic and nothing topical changes it. What these do is clear out what is sitting inside, so pores cast less shadow and look smaller. The effect is real but it is about the contents, not the size.
Can I use them every day?
We would not. Start at two or three times a week. Daily acid use is the most common route to a damaged barrier, which leaves skin red, stinging, and worse than before.
Can I use them with retinol?
Yes, but on different nights. Acid one night, retinol another. Stacking them is asking for irritation.
Will they help my acne?
BHA can help with congestion and blackheads. Inflamed or cystic acne is a different problem and needs a dermatologist, not an exfoliant.
Do I really need sunscreen?
Yes. AHAs increase sun sensitivity measurably. Using acids without daily sunscreen in Beirut will undo more than it achieves.
What percentage are the acids?

Can I use them on my body?
Yes, on the back or chest if you get congestion there. Same frequency, same sunscreen rule.
